Team Mohamed’s throws support behind the venture
The highly anticipated Linden regatta, slated for September 25th, 2022, is being hosted by local promotion company, New Era Entertainment with support from Team Mohamed’s which retained titled sponsor for the event. The venture is a collaboration between New Era, the Guyana Cricket Carnival Committee and the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport.
The regatta forms part of the ‘Cricket Carnival’, calendar and aims to further showcase Linden’s aqua- tourism potential which rates it as a prime tourism destination. It will be held at the Kara Kara Blue Lake.
Expected are races from some of Guyana’s top racers such as Neil Gonsalves, Randy and Conan Belle amongst others. Team Mohamed’s said they’re excited to support motor racing enthusiasts and the residents of Linden in their overall development. Admission to the event is $2,000 for adults and children will pay $1,000. Other attractions for families will also be present. This is the only event to be held in Linden for ‘Cricket Carnival’. It is hoped that the regatta will be an annual activity, as was done in the 1980s.
