Academy for Women Entrepreneurs coming to Region 10

Prospective and existing women entrepreneurs of the Upper -Demerara Upper- Berbice (Region 10) will benefit from the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) Dream Builder Programme which will commence in April 2023. Applications are now open and will close on March 24^th 2023. The programme is being facilitated by WeLead Caribbean, The NICO Consulting Inc. in collaboration with the U.S. Embassy and Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA).

The programme aims to equip women with the practical tools needed to create investable and sustainable businesses. WeLead Caribbean is a community of women ready to rise collectively founded by Abbigale Loncke. The organization supports women in business, development and philanthropy.

The NICO Consulting Inc. is a business, public relations and NGO management company that has placed the support and recognition of women entrepreneur high on its agenda. Founder of The NICO Consulting Inc. Michelle .A. Nicholas, is also the co-creator of the 25 Influential Women Leaders Award (25ILWA), which is an annual award aimed at championing women for their talents, achievements, values and contributions. Since launching in 2019, 75 women leaders have been awarded.

AWE dream builder programme is an inclusive training programme and community that equips women with the practical tools needed to create investable and sustainable businesses. Women residing in Region 10, who are 20-years and older and have a business idea or plan, are encouraged to apply. The programme will provide the needed support in business registration and compliance, international business mentorship and product development and marketing.
