One person is reportedly dead, while another is injured following a confrontation between police ranks and civilians at Wisroc, Wismar, Linden. The deceased has been identified as Randy Jerome. Nursing a gunshot wound to his right leg is Ronaldo Chapman.
He is currently admitted under police guard at the Linden Hospital Complex. It is unclear whether the civilians opened fire at the police. According to information reaching INFO 10, four men were in a house in Wisroc, when the confrontation occurred. “All we hear, them four boys went in the house, them police surround the house and start shoot,” a relative of Chapman said. Two others from the group are said to be in police custody.
The police are yet to release any information on the incident.
