This signature party hosted by local entertainment company New Era Entertainment, is expected to be one of the highlights of Linden Town Week 2023 calendar. The event was launched on Thursday at the Linden Mayor and Town Council (LM&TC). It will be held on Saturday April 29th, 2023 at the Retrieve Ground since the Mackenzie Sports Club is under construction. The featured artiste will be Govana. Present at the launch was Deputy Mayor of the LM&TC Waynewright Bethune and he explained that the council has been planning strategically for its LTW celebrations that will commence from April 22nd, 2023 to May 1st 2023. He said the all-black party is now deemed a mega event because of the number of visitors, stakeholders, and tourists it has attracts over the last decade. He added that a calendar was already published but additional events will be added since some promoters filed late applications.
Public Relations Officer (PRO), Keeran Williams, of the New Era Entertainment group mentioned that their quality of entertainment will never be compromised and that they take pride in coordinating their events so there are considerations for security, lights, fencing and parking. Supporters will be given the opportunity to park in the compound of the nearby schools. Early bird tickets will be available from April 10th 2023. Ticket’s location will be announced later.
Following calls from the community to rehabilitate the Retrieve Community Ground, the Government has answered those calls. The ground will be fenced, sand will be thrown and the ground will be leveled. After the event, it will be accessible for use by the community and other promoters.
New Era Entertainment thanked the Government of Guyana, the Mayor and Council and their supporters for the continuous support.
