
A Linden businessman is now in police custody, awaiting charges, after he was nabbed with one suspected .32 silver and black LORGIN L390 pistol with serial# 243966 with one magazine inserted, and containing two .38 ammunition were found in a bag in his home.
Police proceeded on the search, after his child’s mother, Amanda Mitchell, made a report at the station, that he allegedly threatened her. The businessman, 47 year-old Toriano Jeffers of Lot 556 Block 22, Wismar, attempted to flee, upon the arrival of the police, but was quickly apprehended. A search was conducted on his person but nothing was found. A search was then conducted in the haversack he was carrying on his back and the gun and ammunition were found.
He was arrested and escorted to the McKenzie Police Station along with the firearm, magazine and ammunition.
