Kwakwani logger attacked by reputed wife’s alleged lover

A logger, who resides at Kwakwani Park Road, Upper-Berbice River, is in serious condition at the Kwakwani Hospital, after he was attacked by another male, who he suspected is having an affair with his reputed wife. Wounded is 34-year-old, Adolph Allicock called Dog Man. According to the police, the incident occurred around 22:35 hrs on Easter Monday. Enquiries disclosed that the victim and the suspect have an ongoing problem relative to the accusations that the victim is having an affair with his reputed wife.

The suspect was in the company of some friends walking on the road when the victim approached him with a rum bottle in his right hand. They had an argument and the victim pelt the said rum bottle on the suspect causing him to receive a wound to the left side of his face.

The suspect then picked up a piece of wood and dealt the victim several lashes to his left side face, forehead, left shoulder and lower left foot.

The victim was rushed to Kwakwani Hospital Complex where he was seen, treated and admitted a patient. His condition is regarded as serious. The suspect in custody. Investigations are continuing.
