The Central Islamic Organization of Guyana, hosted a small Medical Outreach for the residence of the Region 10 community of Rockstone on Sunday.
The services offered by the team at the Outreach were general medical checkups, first aid training, blood donation drive and the distribution of medicine and other medical supplies.
Along with the medical services, the public was able to obtain a wide range of packages that catered for their daily needs, along with clothing and footwear.
While the event was hosted by CIOG, several sponsors made the initiative possible. These include the Sugrim family, the Guyana Cancer Foundation, the Humanitarian Assistance Program of the USA Embassy, the Rosewood Foundation and the National Blood Transfusion Services. Several doctors, nurses and and other medical personnel also volunteered their time and services.
Over 50 residents benefited from the initiative.
