The Bosai Minerals Group Guyana (BMGG), last Friday, donated 50 hampers to the Region 10 Disaster Preparedness and Relief Committee, to distribute to residents who were affected due to the breach of a mined out area
The company’s Public Relations Officer, Sherry Domer, presented the hampers to Regional Chairman, Deron Adams.
Though initial reports suggested that Bosai was the custodian of the mined out area and the mining operation, the company refuted these claims and checks made by other regulatory bodies such as the Ministry of Public Works and the Geology and Mines Commission, confirmed that the area is located in territory under the custody of the LINMINE Secretariat /NICIL
Since Bosai is a major stake holder in the community, however, contributions were made to correct the situation and bring relief to the residents.
“Bosai is committed to render the necessary assistance in the form of equipment and materials to support in remedial works….,” a statement said.
Regional Chairman Deron Adams, expressed appreciation to the company for the contributions it would have made following the incident.
