Roy Marshall

A driver attached to the office of the Regional Chairman Region 10, has been arrested by ranks of the Guyana Police Force, in relation to the investigation surrounding the setting on fire of the Guyana Elections Commission (GECOM) building at Lot 2 Burnham Drive, Wismar, Linden which occurred on July 14th, 2020. Roy Marshall, of Independence Avenue, Mackenzie Linden, was on Thursday evening arrested by ranks and taken into custody to assist with the investigation.

INFO 10 was reliably informed by the police, that Marshall was ‘properly arrested’ and taken into custody. He is being held at a station out of Linden.

On Thursday, police made a significant break through in the case following the alleged confession by two Lindeners, who are both in custody assisting with investigations. Teon February called ‘Nut’, age 23 years and a laborer of Lot G 5 Canvas City, Wismar Linden; and Marlon Hunter called ‘Bushy’, age 21 years and hails from 4th Street, Silver Town, Wismar Linden. The two alleged that they were paid $150,000 by Byron kendall called Mogie, a former Community Development Council officer and a supporter of APNU/AFC, to burn the building down, because GECOM was taking too long to swear in Granger.

Kendall is also in custody assisting with investigations.
