LHC presents hampers to mothers who delivered during holiday season

CEO Rudy Small and other managerial staff post with mothers who recently delivered

On Thursday the Linden Hospital Complex (LHC), presented hampers to mothers who delivered babies between the December 25th, 2021 and January 1st, 2022 at the institution.  The simple handing over ceremony was hosted by Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Rudy Small and aimed at providing tangible support to the mothers as they commence their postnatal journeys. It is also part of the custom to present hampers to mothers who deliver during the season of giving, which recently concluded.

In his brief remarks, Small expressed appreciation to the sponsors who came on board to make the initiative a success. These include Chetram Brothers Sawmill, Fridge Air Tech, Cummings Electrical, Bosai Mineral Group Guyana Inc, McRae Supermarket and Hardware Store, People’s Choice Pharmacy, Well Point Gas Station,  Bernard’s Variety, Major’s Rentals, Haynes Hardware Store, Mayfield Green, and Nizola Williams- Webb (Former Registered Nursing Assistant Batch #1). With the overwhelming support given, excess hampers were made and the remaining will be distributed on Mothers’ Day in May.

Seven mothers were to benefit from the initiative but only four were present at the ceremony. These are Telesiah Thorne who gave birth on the December 26th to a bouncing baby boy, Kadisha Lam who gave birth on the December 27th to a bouncing baby girl, Delicia Rodrigues and Roylyn Rawlins who both give birth on New Year’s Day to baby boys.

To ensure that they continue to have happy, healthy and productive babies, the young mothers were encouraged to make full use of the medical institution.
