Businessman makes timely donation of face masks to the RDC

A young businessman on Thursday donated a large quantity of face masks to the Regional Democratic Council (RDC), to assist the officials in their efforts to control the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Dr. Yonnick David of Medical Supplies Guyana Inc, made the presentation to Regional Vice Chairman Douglas Gittens, at the RDC.

Dr. David in a statement said he has deep roots in Linden and to make his family proud, he decided to pursue business and developmental opportunities here. As part of his corporate responsibility, he has begun to take steps to empower several businesses in Linden. “I believe that the region is extremely ripe with opportunities and has a population that is both resilient and hard working. I’m excited to collaborate with them and further develop the region and town,” he said.

“As a signal of my commitment, I have donated much-needed KN95 masks to the Regional Democratic Council (RDC),  to assist in their efforts to protect the people of Region 10 from the spread of the COVID-19 virus,” Dr. David added.

Regional Vice Chairman Douglas Gittens, said the RDC is extremely appreciative of the timely gesture and has already distributed half of the amount donated, to the staff of the Linden Hospital Complex.
