Linden Hospital Complex commissions new ambulance

LHC Management team pose in front of the brand new ambulance

In an effort to provide quality healthcare to the residents of Region 10, the the Linden Hospital Complex (LHC), has procured two new ambulances, one to be used in central Linden and the other to be used by the Kwakwani Hospital for that community.

One month ago, an ambulance was received from the Ministry of Health, after Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Rudy Small, lobbied for same and now another ambulance was bought from his budget. He said it is one of the measures taken to provide quality healthcare services for Region 10, during the simple commissioning ceremony on Friday.

Small posited that he knows that he has capable and knowledgeable drivers for the ambulances and training will be done with staff to aid in the use of the new vehicles. These vehicles are off-road, four-wheel drive vehicles, which will be able to drive on roads in the outlying communities. Medical Superintendent Joseph London, said having these new resources and tools at the LHC is favorable and it will motivate staff to do effective work since the two vehicles are upgraded vehicles from the old ones.
