The highly anticipated 2nd annual Inter District Schools Kayaking Competition is set for this Sunday at the Wootaka Guest House in Linden. All systems are in place for the executing of this event which is being hosted by Elite Kayaking and Nature Tours, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Tourism, Industry and Commerce.
Organizer Dr. Deon Anderson said fierce competition is expected at this year’s competition where 15 districts will be competing. The Upper Demerara/ Kwakwani District is the defending champions for the competition. Keen interested however is being placed on the hinterland districts that promise to ‘bring the heat on.’
Sunday’s event commences at 09:00hrs sharp and admission is $500.00.
The event is the brainchild of Elite Kayaking and has had two successful years of national and district competitions.
